Pumpkin is an absolutely gorgeous female Staffy. She is Miss Personality, a
real crowd pleaser and makes new friends wherever she goes. She is funny
and extremely endearing - she is great with people. Pumpkin would benefit
from additional training, although she knows basic commands like sit and
come. It would probably be best if you are an experienced dog owner, as
she is a strong, athletic dog, who does react to other dogs she meets when
being walked. She could probably be matched to other household pets
providing they were robust (She used to live with another Staffy). If I
were not going overseas in 6 weeks I would adopt her myself, she is that
fabulous.

What a great puppy, the most laid back in the group of 4 I have. A bit shy to start he will fall asleep in your arms & happily be your inside companion. He seems content in his own company just as much as he can play when he feels like it with the others, which may suit if you are working. He would still need toys to keep him amused daily walks & to be part of your day to day life but otherwise time alone is not such a problem for this guy. He's a bit of a dozer often being the first to snooze after food & the last to get up & active. The genetic mix makes it hard to tell his ultimate size but he has the colouring of a JR without the ridgy furline down his back, so is smooth coated.
He's a favourite with my children for his polite, non scratching, non mouthing, non jumping .

Charli WAS a timid chi X that had been surrended. NOW she is a happy girl who although she is shy with strangers doesn't take long to warm up. She absolutly loves her chew toys, and loves nothing better than sitting at your feet (she's very loyal) or playing with other dogs. She would make a great companion for another dog. She walks well on a lead ( a harness is best) and this is a favorite part of her day. She absolutely loves food, so you do need to watch her weight and make sure she doesn't over eat. Although she is quite young she is reasonably quiet for her age. She wants nothing more than to please you .

Lola is a beautiful-natured girl who is 6 years old. Her papers say she
is a Mastiff x Staffy, but she definitely has some Shar-Pei in her, and
maybe some Irish Terrier which would explain her wiry brown coat. Lola
is completely house-trained and loves to lie at your feet, or even
better get a cuddle. She adores children, especially toddlers and has a
very gentle nature despite her size (about 35kilos). She is fantastic
with other dogs, and loves to have another dog "groom" her head! Lola
loves everyone and always has a goofy smile on her face, and is always
ready to introduce herself to new friends. She is obedient off-lead.
Lola is just the most adorable dog, and already has quite a fan club of
admirers in the city. She is currently living on a rural property, but
is very much an inside dog who enjoys her creature comforts and is used
to other dogs and people for company.

Little Tom is a real cutie! He is a very active little man who likes to spend his time playing rather than having cuddles. He does however, like to curl up on the doona for his quiet time. As soon as you see me you will notice my enthusiasm for life and my

I'm house trained and very well mannered when travelling in the car. I also
have this funny little habit when I'm getting ready for bed where I scratch
my blanket up into a big pile then turn a few circles and finally lay down.
It's quite entertaining.

Olive is a lovely puppy with a confident but quiet nature. While not shy or submissive she isn't pushy or boisterous either and doesn't jump up or play rough with children or adults.
She has the typical big "one up one down" German Shepherd puppy ears but will probably only grow to be around the size of a Border Collie. Judging by her excellent behaviour around children and cats I doubt she will be a ridiculously active dog but is a smart little girl who will need plenty of company, moderate exercise and would really enjoy obedience school.

Ella is free to good home as she has been diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. She is currently doing well and not in any immediate pain during her normal day activities. Sage… The runt of the litter when she was left at the pound with her 6 siblings.. What this little girl lacks in size she makes up for in personality.. She is a cluey little one, who is quite deceptive in her looks.. She may not appear to be a cattle dog at first glance but early play with her brother proved she is a true heeler when she would steer him around the yard by his back leg… She has a sweet nature and since her brother Basil has recently found a home, she has adapted quickly to sharing the yard with our 3 resident cattle dogs... She would suit most homes well and is a well behaved girl when she comes inside.. She hasn't started much training yet but knows her name and will respond to 2 important commands she has learnt from the big dogs.. 'come' and 'outside'. And she is starting to learn how to walk with a lead on.. Which can be something all very new and daunting to puppies… With a hint of adventure.. And a cheeky glint in her eye… She is happy to be around other dogs or play quietly alone in the yard making her own fun… She is also learning and responding well to 'no' when she tries to chase our 2 cats around the house, and at the age she is and having exposure to cats now would be able to go to a home where there is a dog friendly cat… She is eager to return her human's love and kindness as she grows.. But also happy to just spend time around her humans without the need for pats and cuddles. The family she chooses to spend her life with will not be disappointed with this sweet girl.

Simeon is a lovely 18 month old boy who had to have his ears removed as they were showing signs of skin cancer. He is now all clear and is looking for a home. The first thing you will notice about Cino is his beautiful, glossy,
chocolate brown coat. He is deep chocolate all over with a white patch on
his chest and he looks gorgeous. He is still a little shy but is coming out
of his shell quickly. Cino is getting used to the car and also walking on a
lead. He already sits quiety for his food and is very gentle in taking
treats. Cino is used to being with other dogs so would still love to have
another doggie companion to live with. I am sure Cino would love to be with
children as long as they are not too boisterous. Cino will need ongoing
training as he has not had much in his life so far. He will probably only

Myth is a confident, friendly, in your face type of girl. She is very
inquisitive and enjoys exploring her surroundings. She is great with
other cats, but can be a little bossy when it comes to sharing the food
bowl! She loves to wrestle and chase toys with her feline friends, but
is also happy to play on her own. Myth would be better suited to a home
without young children as it appears she has had her tail/legs pulled
when she was a kitten. She is now a little nervous when people try to
touch these areas and would rather just sit in your lap and be stroked
along her head and back.
She also enjoys curling upto you in bed as long as you don't annoy her
by moving around too much!

Smoochy and cuddly once she gets to know you. Curlz is named such as she
is always curling her tail up, she is very pretty and has a lovely
nature to go with it. She has come out of her shell from the frightened
little kitty she used to be and grown into a beautiful young lady cat,
who is happy to chatter, purr and play at every opportunity. She has an
independent side but also can be extremely affectionate. Curlz
currently lives inside only with another cat who she adores and looks up
to. She wants to do anything that Stripes does, and is happy to play
with the simplest of things, like foil balls and pens (which she steals
and hides under rugs). Curlz needs to go to a home with no small
children however as she can be scared by loud noises and intimidated
when there are too many people around her. She would be the ideal
companion for someone wanting a kitty who can be a friend too. While she
has grown into the little lady cat that she is, her larrikin side sees
her wandering around with a toy prawn or toy mouse in her mouth, while
she lets out excited little meows. She is also quite the water baby,
fascinated by running taps, drips and her water bowl which she plays in

Bubbles

As her name suggests, Bubbles is full of life. She is one of the happiest
dogs you could meet. Bubbles does love showering people with affection so
you must be prepared for lots of kisses! She is currently living with a
large dog and a puppy and is fine with both but I am sure she would be great
as an only dog. Bubbles is still very active and enjoys playing with her
toys and also going for walks, and she is great on a lead. Bubbles does have
basic obedience and is very well behaved. She loves being in the car and
watching all the action on the outside. Due to neglect, Bubbles has had to
have her coat shaved (hence the lovely purple coat). Her coat is already
growing back and will be back to a beautiful full coat in next to no time.
As she will grow her coat back, she will require regular grooming to keep it
in top condition. Bubbles is very healthy and has a great appetite. I am
sure she would enjoy constant company and would be best suited to an adult
household or a family with older children. Unfortunately, she is not very
good with cats. Bubbles is being cared for in the Wollongong area.

Hannah is the most gorgeous girl with amazing blue eyes - a real looker ! She has been in a family environment but her large size means we would advise housing with older children. She is not suitable for homing near poultry or other small animals but has been professionally obedience trained so is easy to handle. She has never been an only dog and loves playing so she would probably do better with some canine company.
Hannah suffered a leg injury while in foster care and as a result required surgery to her leg. She is fine now but her vet fees have reached $950 and we are seeking sponsorship to help cover these expenses.

Phoenix is a stunning Pomeranian that came in with Bee. Although they get along well together phoenix would be just as happy by himself. Turner has a grade 4 heart murmur and While this isn't affecting him at all at the moment he could require treatment and/or have a shortened lifespan if he develops problems in the future
Turner is a lovely big dog who was saved from death row after 17 days in the pound when nobody came to claim him.
He loves to play fetch and tug..though with fetch we are working on the "give" command as he seems keen to combine the two games, he fetches, you tug !!
Turner is proving to be very tolerant and well socialised with other dogs.
He knows basic obedience commands "Sit" "Drop" "Shake" (hands). He loves to be with you so in the yard "Come" is not much of an issue..if he sees you he will be there. He also loves car rides and walks nicely on lead.
He is generally quiet but will give a warning bark if people are about.
Turner will need an owner who is confident and preferably experienced with large dogs, due to his size he needs to have firm, consistent handling so he doesn't forget his manners !!
Turner is housetrained and very well behaved inside the house, he has not shown any aggression but is a little 'over interested' in my cat when she is moving around so does need to be closely supervised around cats.
Turner is such a gorgeous loving boy who will make a loyal and protective companion.
He would be ideal for a person or family who is looking for a dog who has all the hard work done for them, he does not require much exercise at all though he does enjoy a short walk and playing ball, his main needs are for love and attention !!! Oh and food of course !!

Bee is a lovely lady who has a heart of gold. She can be timid on first meeting but once she is comfortable with you she is very affectionate. She travels extremely well in the car, doesn't bark much (I think I have heard her once or twice) and isn't a fussy eater. Bee came in with Phoenix as a surrender and although she doesn't have to be rehomed with Phoenix she defiantly needs a similar sized companion as she is much more confident with a male friend around. As Bee is quite tiny she wouldn't be suitable for kids under 8 as they may accidentally hurt her. When she looks at you its as though your her whole world.

Ace is staying at our home with two other large dogs and a cat without any problems. He loves a good cuddle and enjoys the company of the other dogs and the humans too.
He is a very good boy while there is washing hanging on the line and does not attempt to pull it off at all. He is learning the game of fetch (although we end fetching most of the time).
Being only just over 12 months he still has the playful puppy investigation stage. However he listens to everybody very well and is very obedient.
Ace is very well behaved in side never causing any problems and is house trained.
Ace is very good with food - not aggressive at all. He is learning to sit and shake paws and gets quite excited when going for a walk, not taking long to settle into walking well on the lead.

Special Needs Kitten
Prickles is an outgoing, spunky little girl with real personality and after a hard start to life she is finally looking forward to going to her forever home. Prickles was dumped as a 3-4 week old kitten at the pound, where she unfortunately contracted a chronic case of cat flu. At such a young age it was a tough fight for Prickles and the flu claimed the life of her sibling. She needed to be hand fed for almost 4 weeks but she is a real little fighter and now, although small for her age, she is finally looking fit and healthy, she is still a bit sniffly but she is getting better each day. You'd not know she had been so ill when you watched her do laps of the house and pounce and play with every toy she sees. She is extremely affectionate and loves cuddles and loves sitting on our shoulders and under our chins being very smoochy.
Prickles needs an understanding home that is aware that cat flu can re-occur, particularly during times of stress such as moving to a new home. She needs a home that is willing to love and care for her should this re-occur.

Butch is a stunning boy, weighing in at 6kg he is a gentle giant who is still playful but due to his size can be a little intimidating for smaller cats.
Since being desexed on release from the pound he has settled in to indoor life but likes to go out into our enclosure for some fresh air and sunshine during the day.
He is affectionate but not really a cuddly/lap cat though he will lay down next to you on the couch or bed and enjoys a tummy rub.
He LOVES his food and prefers fresh mince to tinned food and also enjoys his dry cat food, being a large cat he does eat quite a lot and his demands for more make me think his weight will need to be closely watched in the long term or he could easily end up a "Kitty Biggest Loser" candidate !!

Both dogs need some training because they can be excitable on a lead. Just really happy to be getting outside - Toby does a funny little happy dance turning around in circles when its walky time. Toby and Oscar are house trained and very well behaved inside the house (it's just walking calmly on a lead that they need to work on). Brandy is a beautiful girl with a big heart. Not only is she a beautiful looking girl, her personality is second to none with a great disposition and a friendly smile on her face. As Brandy hasn’t had the best start to life, she needs a forever home that is willing to really make her feel like part of the family, she is used to being an indoor dog and is fully housetrained. Rusty is quick on his feet, very solid has good muscle tone. He would make an excellent sporting pony or jumper and has been known to jump over 1 metre. He is a solid pony who would suit an advanced rider, either a small adult or teenager.
He is a sweet natured but nervous pony. Rusty needs gentle, consistent handling to gain trust in his
handler. He would do well in a situation where he is
treated as a pet, not just a riding mount. Once he knows you he loves a cuddle and a scratch on the head.
Initially he will be difficult to catch, but once caught he is easy to lead, lunge and brush etc, although he still gets nervous about being touched around the hindquarters. Rusty is not suitable for a home with small children as he has been known to show jealous behaviour towards them.

He tends to find himself a safe and quiet spot when my whole family is home but when I am on my own he comes out of his shell and adores attention and cuddles.
He really would make a wonderful companion for a single person and also gets along well with other cats and could live alongside a cat friendly dog.
Jack really does have a lot to offer a loving understanding person and while he is safe and loved in foster care it would be wonderful to see him have a chance to reach his full potential in a more suitable environment :-)

This georgous little kitten was found taped inside a fruitbox with her siblings and her mum at 3 weeks of age.
She was very dirty at the time but her mum cleaned her up.
Angela is the most outgoing of the 3 kittens from the litter. She was the first to walk, the first to eat and use the kitty litter and was also the first to discover how to climb. The others in the litter always watch her to see what she does next and then they copy her.
She is an absolute delight to watch and play with.
She is good with dogs as she has been with a large dog from 3 weeks of age.

Mittens is the most adorable kitten. She was found taped inside a fruitbox when she was only 3 weeks of age. In the fruitbox with her were her mum and brother and sister.
Mittens has a coat that is semi-long haired and is a soft grey in colour with some light peach coloured markings.
Mittens is the shyest of the 3 kittens. When she gets a scare she is so amusing as she jumps in the air with all 4 paws leaving the ground together and launches herself sideways and then wonders what she was doing when she lands somewhere she wasn't expecting.
She loves to chase things around and around and also loves to play her version of hide-and-seek.
She seems happy to just play by herself if she is unable to locate her siblings for a game of toss and wrestle.
Mittens should grow into a stunning looking cat and will need some regular grooming because of the length of her coat.

Poor Little Beau has been attacked by an older dog and has suffered some superficial puncture wounds but also a fractured Tibia in his leg
. He's had x-rays and surgery to put a pin and plate into his leg to help the bone heal. To add to his problems the pin has now moved up his leg so each time he bends his knee up the pin pushes up through his skin and more surgery is planned to remove the pin earlier than expected.
Beau had surgery to remove his pin on 23/5/07. Surgery went well and we just have to wait to see how the leg has recovered.

Evie is the perfect kitten for someone who is worried they 'don't have
enough time' for a cat. Her entire life revolves around two things -
sleeping and being patted! All day when you're not home she's happy to
sleep, and when you are home she wants to keep sleeping, but in your lap
where you can continually pat and give her cuddles. She's very affectionate,
and will follow you from room to room head butting your legs waiting for you
to pat her. Evie's not really into playing which is quite odd for a kitten
and is very mature for her age. She is also 100% toilet trained, scratching
post trained and is happy to either be an 'only' cat or with another older
(but not playful!) cat for company.

Libby is a georgous pure bred Labrador with a lovely personality.
Libby has a good basic understanding of obedience and will heel, sit at street corners when you stop on a walk, sits on command and also sits when she thinks there may be something in it for her such as a walk, a pat, or food.
Libby is extremely easy to feed as she eats anything you put in front of her. She also likes to follow you around carrying her food bowl in the hope that some food will majically appear in it for her.
Libby is good with cats as well as other dogs.
She is happy to be an outside dog but I suspect that she would also love to come inside although her bouyant personality would need some hold put on it in a closed house situation.
Libby has no problem with long walks and lots of activity and would be suitable for an active family with older children as she may knock over smaller children when she is excited.

Bosley is a lovely dog with an excellent nature. He has a very friendly personality and loves people and other animals. He has blossomed since he came into foster care and is just a happy, playful young man. He responds well to positive training and knows the basics .He would be best suited to an experienced dog home who can put some time into continuing his training. He is fairly good on lead. He recently represented DCH in a street parade and he handled the noise, crowds and other dogs wonderfully. Bosley will make a loyal and loving companion to his special family as he is a very affectionate boy with a lot of love to give. He barks when someone comes to the door but isn't otherwise noisy.

Bosley was hit by a car last week. He was dragged by the car but luckily survived. Bosley has been at the vets for the past week monitoring his toes which were badly damaged. At first it looked like they would need to be amputated but they have been doing well and the skin is growing back so the vets no longer think this will be necessary. He currently requires bandage changes every few days and lots of rest and monitoring but a full recovery is expected.
Bosley's vet bills have so far come to $1252.35 and we are seeking sponsorship for Bosley to help cover these expenses.

Amoss is a big strong healthy 8 year old and is desperately looking for a loving home with someone that will look after him for the rest of his days and give him all the love and affection he deserves. Max is a wonderful easy going dog that was relucantly surrendered by his
owners after they moved into a home with only a courtyard.
Max is an indoor dog who loves attention and loves people. A pat and a
tummy rub will never be turned down. Max gets on well with other dogs and
enjoys playing with them. However his favourite thing is playing ball.
When you take him to the park there is only one thing he wants to do and
that is chase a tennis ball. Max has had some training and will come when
called, sit and even shake paws/hands on command. He has a wonderful
friendly, easygoing temperament.

Banjo is the most adorable dog. He absolutely loves people and also other
dogs. He is not dominant at all so would be a great companion for any dog,
big or small. Banjo is very easygoing and just loves to be around people.
He
is used to being outside but would certainly love to come in at night to
be
with his family. Banjo is going to be very easy to train further in
obedience as he is so focused on people. He already has basic obedience
and
is very willing to learn all new commands almost immediately. Although
Banjo
is a Kelpie cross, he is not hyperactive at all, but of course, would
benefit from daily exercise like most young dogs. The first person to come
and meet Banjo in person is sure to fall in love with him like we all
have.
He is currently being cared for in the Wollongong area.

She is also a snugly, cuddly girl who enjoys being wrapped in a blanket for a cuddle on a lap. They both love sleeping on the bed & being close to their human family.
